Job Description:

We are seeking a talented Drupal Developer for a long term contract assignment working remotely on our W2 from anywhere in the US on web development projects for our Austin, Texas client. As a Drupal Web Developer, you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and deployment of internal and external web applications to support the mission of the client. You will work in a team environment and collaborate with other developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to create user-friendly, secure, and efficient web applications in an agile-at-scale environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, extensive experience working with Drupal, and a desire to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, providing technical leadership, and adhering to best practices for web development and cybersecurity.

Responsibilities include:

* Develop, customize, and maintain Drupal-based websites, Acquia Cloud webforms, and applications.

* Collaborate with architecture, stakeholders, management, and other developers to create visually appealing and functional websites.

* Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code subject to pin testing.

* Establish and integrate pipelines and connections with development tools (Bitbucket, GitHub, Jenkins, GoAnywhere) in compliance with agency and security practices.

* Implement responsive design and ensure cross-browser compatibility.

* Troubleshoot incidents, fulfill requests, and manage changes using ServiceNow.

* Proactively perform website updates, maintenance, and provide support to users and vendors.

* Optimize website performance and ensure security.

* Conduct quality assurance and testing to identify and resolve issues.

* Stay current with the latest trends and advancements in Drupal/Acquia development.

* Manage SSO and API integrations.

* Develop and maintain Integrated Development Environments (IDEs).

* Perform Server administrations tasks.

* Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery for customization.



Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree and 2-years' experience (or 6 years total experience)

* Drupal-Specific Development Skills: Expertise in Drupal architecture, site-building, theming, and module development for both Drupal 8/9 and 10 frameworks. This includes planning for legacy system upgrades, conversion off-prem and using new features as they are released. Ability to develop and maintain custom Drupal modules tailored to unique business requirements. Proficiency in developing custom themes or modifying existing themes to align with OAG's branding and UX/UI requirements. Strong experience with Drupal's templating engine, Twig; Entity API; Views; and configuration management systems for consistency across environments.

* Core Programming Skills: PHP skills for backend development and custom module development. Strong front-end development skills, including proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (e.g., jQuery, React, Vue.js).

* Website Management & Maintenance: Proficient in using Git for managing collaborative codebases and configuration sync processes. Experience with automated deployment tools like Drush. In-depth knowledge of Drupal security updates, patching, and user role management, ensuring compliance with OAG security standards.

* Content Management & Usability: Understanding of UX design principles and compliance with WCAG accessibility standards for government websites. Familiarity with content strategy development, including reusable structured content integration across platforms.

* DevOps & Hosting Environment Management: Experience managing servers (e.g., Linux environments) and proficiency with the Drupal Acquia hosting platform. Knowledge of integrating Drupal with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) for scalability and performance.

* Project Management & Collaboration: Experience working in Agile/Scrum frameworks, ensuring effective collaboration across teams and stakeholders. Strong communication skills to convey technical details to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring business requirements are translated into effective solutions. Ability to train other web developers on Drupal development best practices, techniques, tools, and capabilities.
