Graduate Fellowship Program is intended to provide opportunities
for law graduates to build their professional skills and enhance
their preparation for legal employment through advanced work in a
law school setting. The work will be completed under the guidance
of experienced law faculty and senior staff (with JD
degrees).Fellowships are one-year assignments which can be renewed
on an annual basis up to a total of five years. The positions are
full-time (at least 35 hours per week).ResponsibilitiesAs part of
this Program, fellows will receive mentorship and guidance to
contribute to their professional development and career advancement
in areas of interest. Opportunities will vary, but areas of focus
may include:
- admissions and communications
- Tarlton Law Library operations
- student services
- research
- clinical practiceRequired QualificationsJ.D. received within
the past 3 years.Preferred QualificationsFamiliarity with the
culture and operations of the University of Texas School of
Law.Salary Range$65,625-$75,000 annually (depending on weekly hours
requirement)Working Conditions
- Typical office environment.
- Location of work will depend on the area of assignment; some
work may be performed remotely, while other work may need to be
performed on site at the University of Texas School of Law in
